Stay at Highfield
The Dining Room

The dining room at the front of the house also has a bay window and so breakfast is often taken in bright sunshine. The walls are painted in a warm harvest gold colour . The main dining table in the centre of the room is a grand Victorian Chippendale style table with ball and claw feet. It has chairs to match. In the window there is an oval oak gate-leg table with barley sugar legs suitable for two people. There is another small rectangular table in one corner which will seat another two people, so there is room for the guests to dine at separate tables.

The tables are laid elegantly for dinner, with pretty pink scalloped edge mats & serviettes that match and usually pink flowers with a pink candle when the evenings are darker at dinner time.
